Radar infers. We measure.

Hail can’t hide anymore.

Hailios is a hail intelligence company. We measure hail where it lands with Tessera, train Hailios Fusion AI on years of those measurements, and deliver the answers through Mosaic: risk, reports and alerts.

Why hail, and why the ground

Hail is where the gap between inference and measurement is widest

Most perils give you time and size to work with. A hurricane is enormous, slow and tracked for days. A wildfire leaves a boundary you can walk. Hail does neither. It is small, fast, intensely local, and gone in twenty minutes — and everything anyone knew about it afterward was an inference drawn from somewhere else.

Radar sweeps thousands of feet above the roofline and reports a volume of cloud, not a stone at an address. Ground reports depend on someone being awake, outdoors, and bothered enough to call it in. Both get published without an accuracy statement, and both then get used to price policies, trigger payouts and argue over claims.

Hailios started from the other end. Rather than improve the estimate, put an instrument where the loss happens and record the event as it lands: impact count, impact energy, impact concentration and duration, timestamped to the second. It is a less glamorous idea than a better model. It has the advantage of being a measurement.

And once you have years of measurements, you can build a better model after all: one trained on hail that was recorded on the ground, not on the estimates it replaces.

What we build

Measure it. Learn from it. Deliver the answer.

One instrument settles one claim. Years of their measurements train Hailios Fusion AI, and Mosaic puts both in front of the people who price, prove and prepare for hail: a record of hail that was measured, or ground-trained on what was measured, rather than inferred from radar.

  1. 01 · MEASURE

    Tessera

The hail instrument. It stands outside on the asset and records every impact as it lands: count, energy, concentration and duration, timestamped to the second.

    Deployable in 150+ countries

  2. 02 · LEARN

    Hailios Fusion AI

Trained on years of Tessera measurements and still training. It answers for any US address and every site where a Tessera stands, and every answer it gives is labeled ground-trained.

Any US address · EU and AUS next

  3. 03 · DELIVER

    Mosaic

The platform that turns it all into three answers: Risk for the hazard, Reports for the event, Alerts for what’s coming.

Risk in US · CAN · EU · AUS · JPN

We measure today across North America, Europe and Australia. The sensor is easy and inexpensive to deploy and needs no calibration, so it goes anywhere there’s a cellular signal. Mosaic’s three answers: know the risk, know the event, and know what’s coming.

Validation

A claim of measurement has to be gradeable

Anyone can publish a number. The question is whether someone independent has checked it against a known input. Tessera HAIL has been put in front of ice launchers that fire calibrated stones at instrumented panels at known mass and known velocity, so what the instrument reported could be compared, shot after shot, against what was actually thrown at it.

That work has been done at the IBS Hail Lab in Austria and at Koontz Labs. It is also why the stone diameter we publish is a measured floor, never inflated, with the most likely size modeled beside it and labeled so: numbers we can defend in a claims file, not ones that would read best in a press release.

The same standard applies to the model. Hailios Fusion AI is scored against the ground, against Tesseras that stood in the storm, not against other models.

THE LAUNCHER KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT IT THREW. THAT’S THE ONLY WAY TO GRADE THE ANSWER.
