A Tessera instrument makes measurements at one location. On its own it contains facts about a property. A network of them, in the ground, becomes something else entirely: a surface you can ask questions of — at locations where an instrument was standing, and at locations where one was not.
That second part is the hard part, and it is the part everyone else skips. Where we measured, we say so. Where a model trained on what we measured filled in the rest, we say that too, and we say how confident we are. A surface that hides which is which is a picture; a surface that labels it is evidence.

A network of instruments does not become a surface on its own. Something has to take every measured impact, every reading from every source, and resolve them into one answer for one address — including addresses where no instrument was standing.
That layer is Hailios Fusion AI. "Sensor fusion" is ordinary engineering vocabulary — merging several streams into a single best estimate of what actually happened — and that is exactly the job. What is not ordinary is what it is fusing: ground truth from instruments that were physically present when the hail landed.

What it will not fake
Nothing on a Mosaic surface is dressed up to look more certain than it is, and nothing needs to be. Where a value was measured, it says so. Where it came from a model trained on measurement, it says that too, and it carries a confidence that was itself measured: Hailios Fusion AI is scored against instruments that were standing in the storm. The confidence is part of the answer, not a footnote.
